How to Find Someone in Covington County Jail
The department of corrections maintains a list or online database for currently incarcerated individuals. This would be a great place to start your search! All you will need is the inmates' first and last name, plus their Mississippi DOC number.
Conversely, you can use the facility's direct call option and enquire from offices at the facility about the inmate. Here too, you will need some detail, and the more you have, the easier it will be to find them.
Send a Mail/Package
The Covington County Jail allows inmates one letter a week at the county; otherwise, they have to cater to all other mail that may be sent from the jail.
The Covington County Jail will check mails; both incoming and outgoing, and anything deemed illegal will not be given to the inmate.
As with most jail facilities, packages will require prior permission, plus there are restrictions as to what can and cannot be brought into the Covington County Jail.
Sending Money
Inmates can receive money into their commissary accounts while inside the Covington County Jail. The facility will not provide everything the inmate needs, and the jail shop will come in handy in providing essential needs such as soap.
There are also a couple of ways to send money to an inmate in the Covington County Jail, including wire transfer, money orders, checks, and direct deposits.
If you choose to send the money through money order or checks, you will write the inmates name and ID on the back.
